Grease Interceptors
IGM - IMET® Grease Module
Installed directly into grease interceptor waterbody
IMET® Grease Module (IGM) creates a near 100% aerobic environment in the grease interceptor. Bad odors (H2S) are significantly reduced as anaerobes become dormant. The aerobic Fats Oil and Grease (FOG) microbes in the IMETs chop up the carbon chains of the FOG molecules, denaturing them. The chopped-up FOG molecules become easily consumable BOD.
As the aerobic microbes in the IMETs® consume the dissolved grease in the waterbody, the thick floating grease layers begin to lessen as more grease from the surface dissolves into the waterbody and is consumed by the aerobic microbes in the second or third chamber. Pumping is minimized or eliminated in the grease interceptor with minimal skimming required in the first chamber The significant population of aerobes grown on the large surface area in the IMETs® continually seed downstream lines, cleaning the existing pipes of FOG build up.

The IMET® technology is a modular design that is able to fit any new or existing system. IMET Corporation offers customers a solution to meet individual client requirements. The IMET® “drop in” technology is designed to create a nearly 100% aerobic environment in a grease interceptor that allows for fast, lasting results.
The IMET® technology provides superior surface area that allows large, diverse populations of micro-organisms to grow and remain in the IMET® module. Coupled with superior aeration, and a design that utilizes aeration efficiently, the IMET® technology requires less air to achieve maximum results.

IMET® Grease Module
Installed directly into grease trap waterbody
IMET® Grease Module (IGM) creates a near 100% aerobic environment in the grease trap. Bad odors (H2S) are signifiacntly reduced as anaerobes become dormant. The aerobic Fats Oil and Grease (FOG) microbes in the IMETs® chop up the carbon chains of the FOG molecules, denaturing them. The chopped-up FOG molecules become easily consumable BOD. As the aerobic microbes in the IMETs® partially consume the dissolved grease in the waterbody, the thick floating grease layers begin to lessen as more grease from the surface dissolves into the waterbody and is consumed by the aerobic microbes.
