COMMERCIAL Wastewater Treatment Fats, oil and grease (FOG) represents the majority of problems experienced in wastewater generated by commercial facilities such as restaurants, bakeries, food processors, and poultry and animal farms. The IMET's Commercial Grease Remediator (CGR) technology accelerates the biological degradation of FOG in grease traps and seeds discharge water to enable degradation of FOG to maintain open sewer lines.  Prior to the installation of the IMET CGR unit in the grease trap, significant grease buildup was present in the grease trap outside this fast-food restaurant.  Within a month after installation of the CGR unit, the grease trap was free of FOG both in the liquid phase and on the walls of the trap.  The grease also was not building up in the manholes downstream of the fast-food restaurant.  Since the installation of several NBAs, the city has not faced any sewer line clean-up in the area of the installations.
